Safety Online

Most of us have been very dependent on our internet connected devices over the last year.

We all want to keep our children safe whilst allowing them to participate in this aspect of their lives. This can often feel like a constantly moving target and the children often have more time to explore than we do. Often apps which we start using to watch innocent videos and stay in touch with friends and family can provide inadvertent access to things we do not wish our children to see.

The guide below provides some information on the parental controls we can add to devices, apps and our home broadband connections. We hope that you find them useful.

In addition, Net Aware provides up to date information on the various social media apps and online games which are being used. Information includes age guidance, how to change settings to restrict content and information on the pitfalls (and how to avoid them).

We hope you will find these useful.

PTA-Thank you!

Thank you to our wonderful PTA who have organised Mother’s Day gifts for all who wanted them. They worked so hard to make sure it was safe and easy to hand out at the end of Friday.. Special thanks to Mrs Burr and Mrs Lowe for their hard work.

We hope you have a lovely weekend with your families and we are looking forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Monday 8th March – Welcome back!

Welcome Back

I hope that you have all had a good weekend, used some of the time to prepare for Monday and talk to your child about the return to school as well as enjoying doing something fun together. There has been a lot of information sent out and hopefully all of your questions have been answered.

Here is a link which might be helpful in supporting children on their return and over the first few weeks back.

It looks like the weather could be mixed this week so don’t forget to send your child with spare layers of clothing – a fleece for the classroom, outdoor field shoes/wellies and a coat.

Please can I ask that you are are prompt for your drop off and collection times and if arriving by car, please do not obstruct the school main gates, zig zag lines or neighbours driveways. It is to ensure the safety of all families arriving so thank you for your consideration and support with this.

Don’t forget to send in your Mothers’ Day gift order form and payment – a box will be outside the school before and after drop off.

We know this has been an incredibly difficult period for you and think you have all done an amazing job. Thank you for your continued support throughout the last 8 weeks.

We are looking forward to welcoming the children back in the morning!
