Safeguarding

Staff and governors at Claverley C of E Primary are aware that many children are the victims of different kinds of abuse and they can be subjected to social factors which have adverse effects on their lives. These can include: domestic violence, substance misuse, bullying, mental health, and radicalisation. We acknowledge that safeguarding incidents could happen anywhere and staff should be alert to possible concerns arising.
Through our curriculum, we teach children to stay safe and happy. We encourage the understanding that a problem or worry can be shared with a trusted adult, a friend or to Childline. We operate a worry box in school and children are encouraged to use this not matter how big or small their worry is.
